Dear Seagate,
What a love-hate relationship we have had. It has been 10 years, and while I have enjoyed much of it, I have suffered enough heartbreak. I think it is finally time to say goodbye.
Drive after drive has died on me (5 of them to be exact). Your firmware release to fix [...]

Yet another Seagate drive I own bit the dust a few days ago. The current victim is a Barracuda 7200.11 500 GB drive. I can’t quite recall when I bought it, but it is still under warranty for quite some time.

I’m looking for an “artist” self-proclaimed or otherwise to do a small bit of icon creation for an application I am working on. The position is non-paying (it’s a free application), though you will be credited accordingly. Enticing, I’m sure.
If you are interested, drop me an email at drnathan (at) teamhackaday (dotcom).

That being said, the replacement should arrive at my house today. I really hope I get it. [...]

I prefer Seagate drives over most others because I typically don’t have many issues with the drives, if at all. Recently though, a relatively new (6 mos. old) drive died on me, and I went to Seagate’s site to submit an RMA.
Normally the process is pretty simple. I have RMA-d quite a few [...]
